Our Herd

Based out of Palmerston, Pootcorners is Southwestern Ontario’s top notch Suri and Huacaya alpacas breeder.  We pride ourselves on raising and caring for our herd as we would our family members. You can rest assured that the alpaca and the product produced by the alpaca are both held in the highest regard and with the utmost respect.

Alpacas of Pootcorners

There are two main types of alpacas. The Huacaya Alpaca is more common than their Suri Alpaca counterpart, but both produce exquisite fleece that is sought after all around the world.  The Huacaya Alpaca has a dense coat that is soft and fluffy, while the Suri Alpaca has a silky texture with longer “locks”.  We welcome you to browse our website further and see some of the beautiful Huacaya and Suri alpacas we have for sale.  Our attention to detail and love for our animals shows in the dams “cria”, or offspring. The cria are the babies of our exceptional dams and are always welcomed additions to our herd.
