Have you ever dreamt of having an alpaca? We’re happy to announce we can make that dream finally come true. When you adopt an alpaca, all proceeds are used towards the animal’s care. Don’t see your favourite alpaca here? Let us know and we’ll add them to the adoption page.

Sample of the shorn fleece
Opportunity to spend a whole day working with us (farmer-for-a-day)
Video call from their alpaca on the person’s birthday or another special event
10% discount on-farm store purchases

If a pregnant female is adopted, you will have input on the name of the cria (baby alpaca)

Adoptable Alpacas

Princess Nibbs, the matriarch of the herd. Mother of Nigellus, Veyron, Ulmus, and many others
Veyron - an experienced mom due again this spring. Daughter of Princess Nibbs and mother of Yatay.
Onesie - wiil be a first-time mom, May 2022. She is one of our friendliest girls
Marketa - an experienced mom, due this summer.
Semiphore - a juvenile male, just learning to interact with the public
Nigellus - the peacemaker of the boy herd. Our most award winning homegrown stud
Jaguar - a stud that loves to eat any treats you offer.
Yatay - the yearling daughter of Veyron. a spunky sassy young lady
Fraxinus - a future stud male, proud but friendly.
Kenai - a suri stud, is looking forward to seeing his first offspring in 2022.

Terms and Conditions

  • Upon acceptance of the Pootcorner Adopt-An-Alpaca program, the full fee is due within 3 business days. If you do not pay on time, you will forfeit your place in the program.
  • All adoptions are non-refundable. Your adoption fee is used towards the cost of the care of your alpaca. Your payment entitles you to the listed benefits of your selected adoption level and does not constitute ownership. The alpaca will remain at Pootcorners farm.
  • All visitors must sign a waiver before entering any area inhabited by our animals.
  • In the event that an adopted alpaca should become unavailable, all adopters of this alpaca will be notified, and alternate alpacas offered for the remainder of the adoption period.
  • Adopted alpacas may not leave the farm with adopters. Certain alpacas are available for walks around designated areas of the farm, and may not be removed from the property.
  • Only alpacas listed as “Halter trained” are available for walking. Alpacas listed as “Available for halter training” may undergo training with their adopter(s) until they are ready for longer walks. Adopted alpacas may only be walked by adopters age 11 and over. Adopters under 11 years of age may only walk an alpaca if an adult is holding the lead.
  • Visitors must be accompanied by a member of farm staff when visiting their adopted alpaca.
  • Visitors must abide by our biosecurity protocols. Adopters who refuse to comply with these protocols will not be allowed into areas inhabited by our animals.
  • As this is a working farm, all visits must take place either during store hours or at an appointed date and time. Please ensure all children are under supervision at all times, this is for their safety as well as that of our animals.
  • Pootcorners reserves the right to end an alpaca walk or visit if conditions unsafe (ex. alpaca stressed, weather change, adopter unable to follow instructions)
